Wellbutrin Dosage:

No single Wellbutrin dosage should ever exceed 150 mg.

Adult Wellbutrin Dosage:

We advise starting on 150mg/day, however we recommend splitting the tablet and taking one half (75mg) in the morning and one at night - or at least with 6 hours in between. After 5 days at this level you should then take two full tablets (150mg x 2) 8 hours apart - only take with meals if it causes mild stomach irritation.

The maximum recommended Wellbutrin dosage is 450 mg per day taken in doses of no more than 150 mg per dose.

Wellbutrin SR:

Our recommendation is to start Wellbutrin SR dosage at 150 mg in the morning. Then after two weeks if you can feel a change (and there are no serious side effects) this can be increase to 300mg/day - one in the morning and one at night with at least 8 hours in between. The maximum recommended Wellbutrin SR dosage is 400 mg a day, taken in doses of 200 mg each - however we don't advise this for those new to treatment and without a proper medical examination.

If you have a history of severe cirrhosis of the liver, your dosage should probably not be more than 75 mg once a day. This means just splitting the tablet, this does not affect the slow release of this type of Wellbutrin.

We strongly advise you against buying products for the use of those under 18 years old, due to their age it is hard to distinguish depressive characteristics from expected emotions. Once the child is 18 then they are fine to take it but we recommend consulting your doctor before starting treatment.

If you are over 60 then you may be concerned that you need a different dose, but after many studies it has been shown that with Wellbutrin you can take the recommended dosage for adults with no ill effects!
